Synopsis
An educational animated Minecraft paleobiology documentary series. Perhaps accompanied by the revival of the Minecraft mod/data pack? Episodes center around specific paleontological formations?
Dinos & Dodos (DnD) is my oldest published project (as of 2026 I just celebrated its eighth anniversary!); although, at this point it also holds the records for the abandoned project I’ve sunk the most time into. None of that was in vain, though! In the time I actively updated it the project gave me a very nice feeling of accomplishment, and it introduced me to a lot of new friends! I cherish the project and hold it in a special place in my heart!
I’ve always toyed with the idea of an animated series related to the project, I first mentioned it in the project’s official Discord server around 2020. It’s still an idea I’m quite fond of, and I think it has really good potential to carve out its own niche. Paleobiology Minecraft mods are quite oversaturated, especially in recent years, but I’ve not seen anyone use the medium to tell interesting stories or educate to the degree I want(ed) to with Dinos & Dodos.
