Welcome to the library! Sometimes, very rarely (I want to place extra emphasis on the very rarely part), I write essays and short stories for fun. This page serves as the link to all of those stories and essays! Each link to an essay and story on this page includes a short summary! Stories and essays which are not complete are still linked, but will take you nowhere. This is for my own sanity.

All the lists on this page are alphabetized.

Essays

Writing non-fiction is an excellent way to express oneself, and finding ways to make it creative and exciting is a wonderful way to improve your writing1. I think its fun to explore random topics, and what better way to do so than sharing them in fun little essays!

Finished

Technically none of these are finished. I’ll return to them and edit, add, or otherwise remove content as I decide to. But, these are the ones I’ve gotten to a point that I’m fine with sharing them!

The history of worldbuilding as my primary and favorite hobby, alongside the history and origins of my three primary settings.

WIP

These are ones that are still under review, are currently being written, or are just in the ideas phase. I’m still linking to and providing a short summary of them for the sake of it.

A rabbit hole exploring the origin of a strange infographic poster which claims to map out the human brain. How did I find it, who made it, and why?

How I discovered Minecraft, my history with the game, how it’s impacted my life, and why its my favorite game of all time.

The origins of my internet persona name, Ragno!

Why I think motivation is fake and how I’m working to learn to stop getting in my own way.

How I used paper craft as a child to entertain myself by making toys my parents wouldn’t buy me, how that may have impacted my love of Minecraft, and why it’s a hobby I’m extremely interested in getting back into.

A wonderful little website which has lead me to so many interesting and fun rabbit holes to explore. I often find myself losing track of time searching through untouched YouTube content.

A rabbit hole exploring a strange subreddit, it’s related GitHub repository, and the strange character behind the ordeal.

Explore the history and backstories behind all of the unlisted videos on my YouTube channels.

Short Stories

I believe I like writing fiction over non-fiction; I would argue most people claim to also. Despite that, I’ve written just about as many standalone short stories as I have standalone essays. The bulk of my writing is dedicated to larger overarching projects that I’ll inevitably take nowhere, but which are still fun to work on!

Finished

I don’t plan to touch these in the same way I would otherwise plan to continue editing essays in minor ways. Some of these are finished in the sense I’ll never touch them, but not finished in the sense that the actual written content is complete. Most of these come from silly interactions with friends.

In a dystopian future not too far from our own the protagonist finds themselves accepting the reality they live in.

An assassin monologues about their victim’s past life of grand crime.

An incomplete collection of silly parables written as if from a religious scripture. Related to The Creeper’s Continuum lore.

A patient is diagnosed with an alien cancer.
